Safety for Fur and Human Children

Recently some of my Mom's friends have written
of accidents and even fatalities
suffered by their feline children.
I thought it would be a good idea
to expound on some things humans can do to ensure
the safety of their beloved fur friends.

GARAGE DOOR OPENERS:

One of our cyber-friends, Kathy, lost a darling little girl, Tequeno, when she was trapped by the garage door as it closed.

Another friend, and my cyber-uncle, Steve, had a terrifying experience when my cyber-cousin, Baldwin, was caught under their garage door. Fortunately, Baldwin was not injured, but it could have easily been another fatality.

To ensure the safety of your fur friends, whether of the feline, canine or human persuasion, please change your automatic garage door opener to one with an electric eye, and if you have a
sensitivity setting on it, be sure to set it to where it will reverse with very little obstruction.

MINI BLIND CORDS:

Lucy, a Fabulous Feline who owns our friend, Debbi, had a bad scare with a window blind cord not long ago. Luckily, Mom and Dad were there to rescue her. Luci had become entangled in a cord and was hanging by her neck from it. Her human Dad was quick to save her, but had they not been home, Lucy may not have survived.

Please make sure window blind cords are either tied up or cut off so that your pet is out of harm's way.
