In My Life
About Me
Welcome to the best page on the site! This section is all about me. I hope you enjoy hearing about my story!
My name is Yo-yo. I'm a male cockatiel. A cockatiel is a species of parrot. There are many different variations of a cockatiel. My type is called normal gray. I'm gray with loooong tail feathers and crown feathers on my head. Crown feathers are narrow, long feathers that stick out from the top of my head, pointing toward the back. I use them for expressing myself! When they're raised high into the air, it means I'm scared, or alert! Yikes! When they're flat on my head, it means I'm happy or excited. When they stick up only halfway, it means I'm bored or relaxed. We cockatiels are very expressive birds!
I have a bright yellow head and an orange splotch on either side of my face, just over my ears. Cockatiels are very colorful! We come in a variety of colors and patterns. There are all sorts! It just goes to show how awesome we are. *squawk*
I'm a very exciteable bird. I love attention, and I must be the center of attention at all times! That's my human's job. :) I love fruits of all sorts, especially apples. Yum! Millet spray is also a wonderful treat that I love! It's a brown stalk covered in delicious millet seeds. Yummy! I could eat it all day long, but my human says I can't.
I also love music! I dance to lots of different songs. I enjoy trying my hand-- er, wing-- at music, too. That's why I whistle so much! Birds love chirping and making noise, and I'm no exception to that! I love whistling and squawking and chirping. It's just so much fun! Noise is a wonderful thing. :)
Well, that about covers it! Hope you enjoyed reading this!
