Satin Rabbits are a very unique breed. The reason for this uniqeness is that their hair shaft is smaller in diameter than that of other breeds. This causes them to have a brilliant sheen to their coat. They are recognized in ten different varieties. They are: Black, Blue, Broken, Californian, Chinchilla, Chocolate, Copper, Red, Siamese, and White. The Satin Rabbit is a very social rabbit. They usually enjoy being petted and handled. I wouldn't recomend this breed for very small children. The reason being, they are a large rabbit. This makes it hard for small children to hold them, therefore, they do not feel safe and will jump. |
