Satins are to be shown in the following varieties. Black, Blue, Broken, Californian, Chinchilla, Chocolate, Copper, Red, Siamese, and White. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Classes & Weights Senior Bucks and Does - 8.5 pounds to 10 pounds in bucks and 9 pounds to 11 pounds in does. They must both be over 8 months. Intermediate Bucks and Does - Under 9 pounds in bucks and under 9.5 pounds in does. They must be between the ages of 6 months and 8 months. Junior Bucks and Does - Not over 8 pounds in bucks and not over 8.5 pounds in does. They must be under 6 months. |

The Body os a Satin rabbit is to have very good balance when viewed form all sides. It should also have a definate wdth and a balancing depth. There should be a slight taper from the hindquarters to the shoulders. The rise on the Sain should start at the base of the neck and rise gradually, peaking at the point of the hips, it should then curve downward to the tail. The ears are to be in proportion with the body, as well as the head. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The fur of the Satin is to have a smaller hair shaft, giving it a brilliant sheen. It should be very dense, lustrous, and have a very soft undercoat. The fur, when stroked backwards, should fall back to it's normal position, and lie smooth. |
