the Arctic and Antarctic winters, but some types of seal are
in danger of overheating in the summertime.

- Male elephant seals have a huge, floppy
trunk-like nose. Unlike the elephant's
trunk, it isn't very useful, except in the breeding season.
Then the seal roars loudly and its incredible nose acts like
a large speaker.
