We got MollyMoo from the people across the street from us. We were told that the lady took her from where she had been living, with some friend of hers, because she was being abused by the children of her friend. She does this alot, takes in animals and then realizes that she is not going to take care of them and that her children get disinterested very quickly. And then the animal is left on its own, and I have always seemed to find them all (I also have 3 cats that they took in and supposedly wanted. When I noticed this dog over there, I went to find out why she had gotten another dog when she wasn't taking care of Rocky. He was always getting out and running across the street to me. I thought sure I would find him dead in the street sooner or later. She told me that she did not intend to keep her but was going to try to find her a home. Yeah, right! Just while I was standing there talking to this woman, Molly ran out in the street and in circles in the street about 5 times. I ran to get her, and my neighbor had not even noticed she was in the street and that her "beloved" (so sure), Rocky was with her. I told my neighbor that I would take her to my house and see if she fit in with my animals.....and of course, she did.
Needles to say, I said I would keep her.
The only bad thing was that Rocky would
no longer have a playmate, and he really
needed one because they made him stay outside
alone so much. He was really having a ball
with her and seemed so happy. But having
two dogs running loose over there would have
been worse than just Rocky, who always came
to me.
