Kyleah is located in the western part of Fairfax County in northern Virginia. Our speciality is AOAC (All Other Accepted Colors). AOACs can include blue merle (with tan), bi-blue merle (no tan), bi-black and tri-color. What we don't have are sables (Lassie color). Well . . . actually we do have one *token* sable which you can read about.

We are a small kennel and new to the world of Shelties. It is our firm belief that healthy, happy dogs begin with exceptional breeding stock. Our foundation stud is Cedarhope Shades of Purple (Dobs), an Am/Can Ch. Banchory Deep Purple, ROM son whom we were lucky enough to acquire from Carol Gouger of Cedarhope Shelties. Our foundation bitch is Winrose Patches of Blue (Patches), a Ch. SumerSong Winter Shadows, ROM (a Deep Purple son) granddaughter, who, after much persuasion, we acquired from Sue Adolph of Winrose Shelties. In addition to being groomed for the conformation ring, both of these beauties are much loved house pets, as are all our furkids.

We sincerely believe that there are too many unwanted dogs and as such we sell our pet quality puppies on a strict spay/neuter contract with limited registration. New pet owners are encouraged to work with the dog in agility, herding and/or obedience. Show hopefuls are placed in homes that guarantee to show the animal in conformation and promise to treat the dog as a house pet.

It is our goal to produce beautiful sound dogs, both in body and temperament, free of genetic deficiencies, using the AKC Standard as our guide.

Be sure to look for our furkids in upcoming shows. At Kyleah we may be black and blue, but we're not bruised!
