Terms of Contract:

~ All shipping charges are the responsibility of the owner of the bitch to be bred.

~ If food is not provided by the owner of the bitch, a boarding fee of $1.00 per day will be charged.

~ The stud fee is due and payable at the time of service. All stud fees are non-refundable.

~ Owner of bitch certifies that bitch is current on brucellosis test.

~ Owner of stud reserves the right to artificially inseminate the bitch if it is deemed necessary. All costs of artificial insemination, where deemed necessary, will be absorbed by stud owner.

~ If the bitch's owner requests, a brucellosis test and sperm count will be done on the stud prior to breeding.

~ A certificate of the bitch's current vaccinations is required, as well as a copy of her registration papers and pedigree.

~ Owner of stud guarantees two actual matings (ties), or will perform two artificial inseminations (per bitch owner’s request).

~ Owner of stud guarantees a litter of at least two live pups. Two pups born alive that die at a latter date from reasons determined not to be genetic constitute a live litter. In the event that two live pups are not produced, the breeding will be repeated to the same stud.

~ Any free return service (as noted above) will be given only to the bitch noted in this contract. Should said bitch die or become unable to conceive or carry a litter, the owner of the stud is no longer obligated to offer a free return service. The offer of a free return service is only good for one (1) year from the whelping date of the litter of less than 2 pups. The guarantee of 2 live pups is considered fulfilled when the bitch whelps a total of 2 pups from the original breeding and the free return service.

~ Should said stud die or become unable to sire a litter, the owner of the stud retains the right to grant a free return service (as noted above) to another of his/her studs.

~ Owner of the bitch hereby agrees to furnish owner of the stud with color photos of all surviving pups in the litter. Owner of the stud is not obligated to sign the litter registration form until said photos are received and unless the stud fee and any other expenses are paid in full.

~ Owner of the bitch hereby agrees to furnish the owner of the stud with a color photo of said bitch, complete pedigree, copies of hip and eye certifications and/or a letter from a qualified veterinarian stating that said bitch has been tested and found to be free of brucellosis.

~ Stud owner guarantees to keep the bitch isolated from all dogs, save said stud dog, during her stay stud owner, and to take all customary precautions to protect the bitch from sickness and accidents while in his/her care.

~ If the bitch changes ownership while in whelp, all terms of this contract remain in force, and this contract is to be given to, and explained to the new owners.

~ During the bitch's heat, she will remain in the stud dog's care, and after she returns to her home, stud dog owner will be granted the right to see and examine her while she is in whelp.

~ The owner of the bitch agrees to keep a descriptive record of all whelped puppies, live or dead. This will include time of birth (approximate) color, sex, and descriptive traits.

~ The owner of the bitch understands and agrees that no puppy(ies) resulting from the above referenced breeding will be sold, transfered, assigned, ceded, conveyed, or otherwise placed into the care of an animal broker, pet shop, or puppy mill and that pet quality puppies will be sold on a spay/neuter contract and limited AKC registration. Any deviation from this clause will result in legal action by the stud dog owner to obtain control and title of the entire litter. __________________(breeder initials)

*I understand that any check written to stud dog owner that is dishonored by the issuing bank will cause this contract to be null and void and stud service will not be performed. I will pay to stud dog owner a service fee of $35.00 (Thirty-five American Dollars) to redeem dishonored check and bitch will be returned to me upon redemption of check. All articles of this contract will remain as written with the exception of the actual stud service.
