"Abby" is a lovely buff female with a fear of strange people and places. As a result, she would have been impossible for the shelter to place. Fortunately, Lauri Carey was able to see through her bluff, and picked her up for cocker spaniel rescue, although the event was trying. We thank Shorewood Cocker Rescue for taking the time and patience to rehab her and find that special home to fit her needs.
"Abby" is now in her new adoptive home, and Victoria, her new mom, states, "I am so thrilled with her...she is
so wonderful!! She is sitting on my lap as I type this sticking her nose on my hands as I type!! We hit it off right away...she laid on my lap the whole way home. And this morning her and Wendall were waiting at the door for me when I got off work. They seemed a little jumpy about each other at first but have
seemed to settle into a curious and a little competitive for attention....but nothing that I wouldn't say is normal no aggressiveness by either. She seemed to walk right into the
house and after a little bit of an inspection seemed pretty comfortable. I bought her a long fabric toy snake from Petco...and she knows how to make it squeek with her nose...she is so darn cute when she does that...but she has been dragging it around and shaking the heck out of it!"
