Jami was our first Aussie and the reason we came to love the breed so well. We purchased her to be a companion for our family. Jami was a special girl as she was very tuned in to all the emotions running within our large family. She seemed to always want to make each individual feel better whenever it was their turn to be having a "bad" day. (which with 7 people and eventually 4 dogs living in one household can be just about any given moment of any given day!)

She was better at letting you know the weather conditions than any weather station. She would know a good hour or so before a storm was coming our way and would come to your feet and shiver and shake no matter how much we tried to comfort her. You see, she wouldn't let us comfort her in her times of uncertainty, she wanted to be the one making YOU feel better. A one of a kind girl.

She had the most beautiful soft brown eyes that had so much expression. They were tender and sweet, just like her. We called her sometimes, "little deer eyes".....she was certainly "dear" to our hearts and will be greatly missed. She also possessed that remarkable Aussie grin and wiggle-butt!

She accepted 3 dogs that eventually came into our family, all males, and cared for them like any good mother dog would do; although she never actually was a mother herself. She taught them to play games with her like "chase" and "corral". At the age of 10 she learned on her own just from watching our youngest new addition practice, how to go up the A-Frame, through the tunnels and over the jumps. She learned to sit, stand and down all from watching this same pup. She was an exceptional dog in personality and intelligence. I fear I will never know another of her magnitude.

On that sad December day we placed her gently back in the earth in her favorite spot in our yard.....she is now the little angel forever standing guard!
