Winter can't decide if it's ever going to really come to Hampton Roads. It's been teasing us for awhile now. Last Sunday we got some sleet, but it didn't last long, the temperature was too warm. Had it been 10 degrees cooler we'd have had a mess on our hands. The lucky people in NoVa have snow, but that is rare for us here.

This week Erik is home early-- mid terms. Kyle of course is voicing his disdain for the unfairness of it all. If you ask him, his life becomes more "mizable" by the minute. He has started his new educational program at school and seems to be doing very well.

Odin has been away for two and a half weeks now. Seems like months already. This is going to be a long deployment. He's already been to Palermo, Italy and now is headed to ??? He said he had fun there. It's the off-season so he avoided a lot of the crowds that are there in the summer.

I have been doing my best to keep busy although the weather isn't exactly cooperating. I did manage to get some flowers planted. I'm focusing on the inside of the house until the weather improves. The backyard is like a swamp. The yard guy can't get back there to finish his work it's so wet. I will be so happy when Odin gets home and puts in some drainage.
