The World According to Paula...
Travels, Triumphs and Things that Piss Me Off.
WooHoo Happy Day!

I'm so happy to report that my Mom is coming to visit!  For awhile there it looked like maybe we'd have to wait til Fall to see her smiling face, but now, it's back on for April.  We are thrilled that she's coming to see us!!!  We're looking forward to showing her all around Norfolk and then up to DC for a few days.  The boys will be  out of school for the most part, so it will be a wonderful time.

My new computer is still down.  Hopefully I will be back up and running by tomorrow.  For now, it's still Dinosaur Dial-up.  I got spoiled very  quickly!! Erik found out yesterday that he didn't make District Band.  We are all disappointed for him, but the competition was very tough.  They only took two Tenor Sax players out of 15.  He auditions for All City Band next week.  His band director, who is AWESOME, says she is very confident that he will make All City.

The weather has cleared up nicely.  Yesterday it was very warm.  Little cooler today but still quite warm for January on the East Coast.  My tulip bulbs are beginning to peek up.  I still have lots of paperwhites blooming indoors.

Odin is all pinned on and is in the process of getting all his uniforms updated with the new rank.   As soon as I have my computer back, I will post photos of his pinning ceremony.

Well I'd better go.  I'm watching a series on PBS, Frontline that is very interesting and it's almost time.  Then it's off to bed.  Tomorrow is my day to listen to the children read in Kyle's class.
