So Far So Good...

Yesterday was Kyle's first day on his new medication.  After only one day I could see some improvement in his handwriting and the quality of his homework.  Of course we will know more after a week or so, but it looks promising.

I went to the commissary yesterday to stock up on breakfast stuff and healthy snacks.  One of the side effects of Kyle's meds is decreased appetite.  He's pretty thin anyway so this is a concern.  This morning he enjoyed a Carnation Instant Breakfast along with his cereal.  Lunchtime is the height of the medicine's time release, so that is when he doesn't eat much.  He tanks up at breakfast and then at dinner.

I also got my hair cut yesterday at the NEX.  Pretty much the same style.  I really liked this lady and I think I will go back to her.  As always, finding a good hair dresser is hard, even more difficult for me with my hair from HELL.  I have to find somene who can cut it so that I can either let it go curly in the humidity or straighten it for special ocassions.  I am trying to quit using the flat iron so much as it fries my hair.  I am trying to learn to love my curls- really I am.

The weather is still chilly.  The tulips and daffodils are poking thru the soil.  Some of the daffies are blooming, but I think most of them will be late bloomers as we were slow in getting them in the ground. I think I might get some more pansies and put them in the front planter boxes.  Pansies area very hardy and will add some much needed color.  I planted some in November and they have survived the snow and ice and are blooming like mad!  Both the garden and I need some cheering up.

That's about all for now.  Nearly time to get Kyle on the bus.
