STREP THROAT SUCKS!!!

I am sick *again*.  I went to the after-hours acute care last night and was diagnosed.  The staff there was HORRIBLE.  The Doc was fabulous, but the rest of the staff was either useless or bitchy or both.  I swear that's where they put all the rejects.   Thankfully I was in and out, including the pharmacy in less than two hours.

They gave me a ten day course of antibiotics and this lovely gargle/rinse concoction which is comprised of liquid Benadryl and Maalox.  I can't even tell you how delightful that tastes. 

Odin finally got home on Tuesday night at about 9pm.  Thank goodness too.  Yesterday while the boys were in school, we took a final look at the house in VA Beach that we're interested in.  There was another one for sale that has the same floor plan and is on the same street, so we looked at that one too for comparison.  This other house has much better cosmetics-- still needing work, but not as much-- but the back yard is 1/2 the size and no pool, and it they are aking for more $$.  We were able to see that "ours" was a much better choice.  I think we are writing an offer today.

We are getting very excited about my Mom's visit.  She will be here in just about two weeks.  The weather has been pretty nice.  Only a bit of rain, but chilly.  Mostly blue skies and sunny.  I hope some of the chill goes away before she gets here.

This morning I'm just resting.  I am feeling a bit better as the medication is starting to kick in.  ET Lawson is here yet again working on the newly installed HVAC system.  I am hopeful that this will be the last adjustment for awhile.  They are here so often that I think they should start paying rent.  LOL
