I just discovered that the huge shrub I was thinking of yanking out of the backyard is in fact a GARDENIA!  It's freaking huge.  I thought the leaves looked familiar, but never did I dream I was correct-- I mean this thing is taller than I am!  I am having so much fun uncovering hidden treasures in my new yard!
