Okay, so yesterday we had some strange weather. It started out sunny, then went to light clouds. Next thing you know it's thundering with lightning, but no rain. All of a sudden it starts pouring-- buckets-- raining so hard we couldn't see across the street. Not really all that unusual for summer in the South.
Next thing I know, Kyle comes running into the office and says, "Mom it's raining like HAY-L outside." I say, "Kyle that is a bad word." He says, "NO MOM!-- It's raining like HAY-L-- you know ICE!" I say, "Kyle it is summer-- it's 92 degrees outside-- that is too hot for ice to be falling from the sky...." He says, "MOM-- LOOK!!!"
Well I'll be... We did indeed get hail yesterday. Some just smaller than dime size, some the size of large peas. Some was round and some was flat. Lemme tell ya, that stuff HURTS!!! WE got smacked just by going out onto the porch.
