This was how it all began.
Once the idea of Petsburgh actually gelled, Heartland began to
see the Pet Pages moving out. Though many had well established
Web Sites and chose to simply build a second site in Petsburgh
and move part of their pages to the new Hood.
Petsburgh began opening sites right and left, it filled up the
main section quickly and then the new Burbs* began.
(*Burbs; short for Suburbs; a town or district adjacant to a city
of which it may or may not be a part.)
First, of course, there was
Petsburgh which was followed by Farm,
soon again followed by Zoo, Haven, Park, Fair, Yard, Reserve,
Stable & Ark.
Now Petsburgh is a blooming Metropolis in it's own right.
Proud members have built and maintained many Community Centers
and Community Volunteers are helpful, friendly and love building
Web Pages dedicated to the love of their animals.
But I am getting ahead of myself!
We must never
forget the struggles that built Petsburgh!
The agony of the Petsburgh Jail, where goats and Pekingese had
run amoke and prisoners were locked up for many months with no
hope of escape...
The deadly Watermark.....it caused hate and discontent all over
GeoCities and people became forever insane at the mere mention of
it.......
The great TOS War....ah, we shall never forget this one.
We lost many of our dearest friends in this War. It seemed to go
on forever, but finally it did end. The cost was tremendous and
the losses many, but we have survived and become stronger and
closer than ever before.
We lost Richard, the Duke of Goats, he chose to move to larger
pastures where his Goats could be free forever to roam the great
lands.
And Maximillion, lest we not forget him.....The great Dane.
But the War also saved us from many evil influences, too.
The Horrid Hacker, wicked and evil witch of the Eastern Territory
was driven out, as were many of her cohorts.
The Land of GeoCities was taken over by a new Lord, Yahootie, and
was transformed for all the people.
Some transformations good, some not.....but regardless, Petsburgh
has survived and now it is filled with the magic of love and
happiness.
So I shall take you deeper, to the stories and the pages,
built with love and strength by the many who continue to
grace the hallowed halls of Petsburgh.......
