On January 6, 1999 I opened my site in Petsburgh Farm. At that time there were only 3 burbs in Petsburgh. There was Petsburgh, Petsburgh/Farm and Petsburgh/Zoo. The Liaisons were Sandi and Rick. The Co-Liaisons were Harvey(Farm) and Scorpi(Zoo) and SuSue(Petsburgh). To the best of my memory we had Cat, Sharon, Lisa, Ferd, Merr, Anne, Catarific, 2coolcats, Critter, Browniedog, Marie, Chiquenaude, Corsica, Jim, Teri, Val, Siouxx and several others I just can't remember as CLs. We had the PSOW awards and POP and Blue Ribbon. We had the Petsburgh Party, Petsburgh Angels and CRC. We had a Petsburgh Jail and the Petsburgh Post. I graduated from CL training on March 11, 1999 at the head of my class. Sandi was my mentor and the first Co-Liaison election I voted in was for Haven which opened in March of 99 with Lisa as CO-L. The vote was very close so Sharon took the next burb which was Park. In May of 1999 I took over as chair of the Party and in July of that same year a new burb called Fair was opened. I ran for the position of CO but lost to Anne. In September we were told that new burbs were going to be opened and Rick and Sandi decided that we needed 3 new COs. Myself, Ferd and Catarific were voted in as COs and Ferd took the Park which was now left Co-Less by Sharon's retirement. In October the Yard was opened and I was Co-Liaison of that burb. Soon after Catarific opened the Cattery. Then the unthinkable happened....Yahoo decided to drop the CL program. We were left on our own and Rick had decided to leave us. Sandi was our sole Liaison for several months until she appointed SuSue in her place. Due to health concerns SuSue could not continue as Liaison so Mom once again took the crown. In February of 2000 Mom found herself over tasked. She asked the Co-Liaisons at that time (Scorpi, Ferd, Anne, Jarah, Harvey, Lisa and Me) to submit a short bio and we had a Liaison election. Lisa and I tied with Scorpi one point behind. Scorpi was told that she would be placed in the stand-by Liaison position but decided at that time she would leave Petsburgh instead. Lisa and I
took our positions as Liaisons in March of 2000. Lisa
would be Committees and I would be Personnel. We changed
the applications to accept anyone with a site in
GeoCities and gained many wonderful CLs in the process.
For a brief period in November Lisa held the position
alone because I was LOA and taking care of the Yard. A
few weeks ago she reappointed me and we share the honor
and privilege of being the leaders of the finest group of
people on the net and anywhere........The Petsburgh
