I have been involved in computers since 1974 when all we had were 
Univac Computers and Card Punch.  Since then I have joined the internet 
community (1996) and have created several sites of my own and others on 
Geocities.   In 1998, a Community Leader signed my guestbook and invited 
me to join the Heartland Community.  I did so and enjoyed helping 
homesteaders and interacting with the other Community Leaders.  


Since I worked in the D.A.R.E. unit of my Police Department, I thought 
a lot about the internet and children.  I turned several sites in to 
the U.S. Secret Service.   Later, I learned about a Community called the 
EnchantedForest.  I joined this community as it was mainly for kids and 
I enjoyed working with the kids.  Some of which were Community Leaders.


 I left both Heartland and EnchantedForest due to the Community Leaders 
program being disbanded. 


I thought so much about our Children on the internet that I created a 
Kids and Parents free home pages domain.

 I have Punkie (Susan) to thank for me being with Petsburgh *S*   She 
contacted me one day on icq and asked if I wanted to be a Community 
Leader.  She said the Petsburgh Community Leaders were a special group of 
people who care about homesteaders and have so much fun interacting with 
homesteaders and their pet sites.  The Petsburgh CL's run Site contests 
and other contests, give out awards, check sites to ensure they do not 
violate the Geo/!Yahoo Terms of Content, and have just plain fun in 
just about everything they do.
