RIDING LESSONS Leanne Miller Stephens |
Leanne Miller Stephens has over 20 years of experience training horse and rider teams to compete at national levels. Her philosophy is to 'train students to become riders, not just winners,' and she says the most fun has been watching them evolve from the 'little kid in the barn' to national role models for the new 'little kids.'
Miller Stephens is a native of Indiana, where she owned a training stable called Kensington Riding Center, Inc. In addition to producing winners on the Quarter Horse and Paint circuits, Kensington was the home stable for the Notre Dame Equestrian Team. In 1987 Miller Stephens was the venue chairman for the first International Special Olympics Equestrian competition.
In 1998 Miller Stephens sold her stable in order to travel with her husband, Craig, a computer consultant. They are now residents of Hallandale Beach, Florida, which is just south of Ft. Lauderdale.
