Sex-linked Mutations
Breeding Expectations

Females can not be split for a sex-linked mutation--they either have it (visual SL) or they don't (normal). Males can either not have a SL mutation at all (normal), look normal but carry the SL (split for SL), or be 'pure' for it and look it (visual SL).

* If the father is split for SL:
1/2 the female babies will be normal and 1/2 will be visual SL.
1/2 the male babies will be normal and 1/2 will be split for SL

* If the father is visual SL:
All the female babies will be visual SL
All the male babies will be split for SL

* If the mother is visual SL:
All female babies will be normal
All male babies will be split for SL

* If father is split SL and mother is same visual SL:
1/2 females will be visual SL, 1/2 normal
1/2 males will be visual SL, 1/2 split for SL

* If father is visual SL and mother is same visual SL:
All babies will be visual SL

There is a small chance of other mutations IF one or both parents are split for anything. (But the mother can only be split for recessive mutations such as pied.)
