my training page. Here you can get your horse(s) trained in Western 
Reining and Hunter U'S/O'F. Before you sign your horse up for
training could you please read the description of the discipline,
just to make sure that it is really what you want. Also, if
you would like to board your horse with me at
Whispering Winds Acres, during the time that I am training 
your horse, then please add $100 to the
training fee, and and let me know! Thanks!

~Western/Neck Reining~
Western reining, or 'neck reining', is when the horse
turns away from the pressure on his/her neck. Example:
Lets say that you want to turn left. When neck reining you
would cross your hand holding the reins (usually the left
hand) and cross it over to the left side of the horse's neck,
putting slight pressure on the right side of the horse's
neck with the right rein. This causes the horse to turn to
the left, moving away from the pressure on his/her neck.
Horses should be at LEAST 3 years old, and
he/she must have completed 1 month of Western Pleasure
Training. To train a horse in Reining it will take 3-5 depending on
the horse. It will cost $50 per week. And keep in mind
that even if you horse is already trained in reining getting
him trained more would make him even better at it,
and more likly to do good at shows.

While pretty much any horse/pony can be trained in Western 
Reining you will most often see these breeds competing...
*Quarter Horses
*Arabians
*Apaloosas
*Paints/Pintos
*POAs (Pony Of The Americas)
*Thoroughbreds

~Hunter Under Saddle/Over Fences~
A preliminary class for English riding disciplines in which 
judges evaluate a hunter-type horse on the flat, at a walk, trot 
and canter.  Emphasis is placed on smoothness of gait, 
free-flowing stride and willingness to perform.
Your horse MUST be at least 4 years old, and 
he/she has to have completed 1 month of
English Pleasure Training, to be trained in this event. It will
take 5-8 weeks, depending on the horse/pony, to be
trained, and it will cost  $75 per week to have your horse
trained. When e-mailing me please specify if you would like
your horse/pony trained in U'S or O'F or both. Also,
please realize that it will cost , and $75 for a week of U'S
Training, and $75 for a week of O'F training.
