"About me!"

If you have been here before you will see I have made some changes.

I've been around animals since I was very young. I groomed dogs for 23 years until I had Carpal Tunnel, and had to quit.

I got my first Great Dane in 1994. He is the Brindle male you see here. I also have a Fawn female, named Gwenaveer Von Shitzalot.I have always loved the breed and was thrilled when I was finally able to own one. Since then I started to raise them so anyone that has had a passion for the breed could find one at an affordable price.

I don't show, but the dogs could be shown. I just don't like the politics of it all and really don't have the money.

I Live on 20 acres in Missouri, and have 3 acres fenced for my dogs (when they are outside) I also have a 12X16 whelping house with a separate 150ft.run,for my mamma dog and pups.

I only have one litter a year usually in the fall, I try to find good homes for them and ask everyone that gets a pup to keep in contact with me. I will take a pup back if they cant keep it any more. So far I have had real good luck.

I have owned another dane she was a boston merle. Unfortunately she died this past summer with the Bloat, just after having 12 puppies. I hand raised the pups from the time they were 5 days old (what a job!) but managed to save all but one. I'm happy to say they are all grown and doing well with their new families. This was quite a learning experience for me as I had never had to hand feed so many pups before. I hope I never have to again.

Now many breeders will not breed a Merel of either sex, But from what I have read, you can get Harls from this breeding. However I am going to stick with the Brindle and Fawn colors from now on.
