Boozy (and Tara)
Notice how long and shaggy Boozy’s coat is - it went like this after she was spayed at nine years of age (previously her coat was short and silky and totally non-waterproof) ... has anyone else’s Irish Setter experienced a change in coat after spaying? - please e-mail me to let me know (see the link to the ‘Finally’ on the Welcome (Index) page)

At around twelve years Boozy began to go blind. Not seeing didn’t seem to affect her too much - though we had to keep watching her to make sure that she didn’t walk into any lamposts.

Boozy died peacefully at home, two years ago last Christmas, just before her 14th birthday. She greeted my Dad upon his return from delivering Christmas presents, then they both dozed off. Unfortunately for us, she never awoke again.
