After visiting the BIGGEST event in NASCAR history, the DAYTONA 500, Dale Earnhardt takes home the Win.   Dale has visited the Daytona 500 and at 19 previous attempts lost.  This is the one race that would set Dale as being one of the best.  Can he do it?  Will he do it?

Previously at the Daytona 500 Dale lost the race right at the line.  He got a slashed tire from Jeff Gordon one year.  Another year he spun out.  But he never did win the race, always close though.  However, this year, 1998 would it be different than the past 19?  It sure will be.  ?Finally Dale Earnhardt Takes the checkered Flag...

All the crew members from all the different crews and teams come out to congratulate Dale Earnhardt on his Victory here at the Daytona 500.  Everyone wanted Dale to win the 500, since this is the one goal he has had in his life for the longest time but never met, until now February 15, 1998.

The WINNERS circle here at the Daytona 500 was the most sentimental place in NASCAR.  Dale Earnhardt finally had won and defeated the Daytona 500.

Finally after attempting this race track 19 previous times, and failing to win at it.  DALE EARNHARDT GOES HOME THE CHAMPION.

Will we ever see this again?  Will we ever see Dale Earnhardt in the Winners Circle at the Daytona 500 again?  Well lets wait and see.

To all you Dale Earnhardt fans out there, just keep supporting Dale Earnhardt.  We'll see him there again.
