The Other Garden

When we had moved into our home there was no porch garden and below there were a few plantings. With some work on the porch and below we were able to add our own little touches. Every year we used to plant a tree or significant plant for our wedding anniversary. Sometimes we'd get a little crazy and plant a couple. :-) We like to have plants that have pretty flowers or have fruit that we would love to eat. We also grow herbs that we use in our cooking. We've started to keep mason bees and have found that all our fruit tree and bushes are producing an amazing amount of fruit. This Knox Cellar's site has some links that you may miss at first glance, but keep looking at the bottom to see more links to info on the bees and their homes. A great thing about these bees is they don't sting unless you pinch them between your fingers and then it is no worse than a mosquito bite. We love to share new ideas in gardening.
