Our feline family is very important to us.  All but one had been abandoned and they've come together to form a loving family.  Here are their stories and the links to their photo pages.

Stripers, as in she has lots of stripes, passed away in August  1999.  She was born on January 26, 1981.  She was adopted in Tallahassee, FL at their local animal shelter. She was abused as a little girl, but found a loving family and became very happy.

Taupe is our honeymoon kitty.  When we went on our honeymoon, Taupe was rooming at Bill & Lucille's home, just looking for a home.  In Glyfada, Greece, Bill & Lucille (our uncle and aunt) were the local animal shelter in their town.  They've moved on to another town, but you can be sure they're finding homes for any animal that needs one.

Paws unique feature is she has extra toes on every foot, and with her two front paws, the extra toes look like she has mittens with thumbs.  She literally adopted us.  One day Rich was walking home and heard this little meow coming from somewhere in the dark.  Out came this cute little black and white kitty.  She was very friendly and proceeded to follow Rich as he headed home.  When we got to the front door she decided she wanted to come in.  And indoors she's been ever since.  She had plugged up ears and infected nipples, so Diane and I took care of her everyday.  Paws was very patient to let us clean her ears twice a day and to put a hot water bottle on her chest every day for twenty minutes.  She loves to play with and chase mice.

Rose was adopted from PAWS.  She loves to clean and play with Yogi.  She'll also act as his mom, making sure he learns right from wrong.  It may look like she needs to be brushed everyday, but she has the non-mating type of hair that is soft and manageable without all the brushing involved.  Her favorite hobby is watching the birds from the window ledge.

We found Yogi at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.  They were having a cat show there and we were just going to look around, when Diane spotted this little gray Devon Rex kitten.  It was an instant bonding.  Yogi is the youngest at just over a year old, but is also the most mischievous.  He loves to play and climb!!  He also has his favorite toys which he will bring to your feet and tap on your foot until you play with him.  If you dare not to play with him he will follow you, with his toy,  until you do.
