"Lockett" is my foundation bitch and she taught me many things. I got her as an 18 month old bitch, her previous owners were forced to give her up..not that they wanted too. I was lucky enough to get her...I received a call from a fellow breeder in 1990, "there was a Topmast landseer bitch that had to be rehomed, was I interested?" Of course!! Sight unseen I agreed...I had fallen in love with her father several years prior. Upon meeting her owners, they bring out a photo album of their "baby" Lockett, and I was amazed..I had always sworn I would never own a landseer with a blaze {famous last words, never have lived that down :) } and I had to that point never seen a landseer with such a big blaze! Well after the intitial shock wore off I could tell this was an wonderful dog..and she came home. All my current breeding stock goes back to my sweet girl I often see her traits in my current newfs, which is good....
