Burdie was a double blue-eyed dog, and for that reason alone was sold as an obedience prospect, rather than as top show quality. He was a very sound typey dog of moderate size, and an excellent showman as well, and finished his championship easily. His owner/handler decided to give Specialing a try and Burdie went on to win a number of Group Ones in top California competition! Proof indeed that most U.S. judges do not discriminate against blue eyes.
