Paxten's parents were both DCA major winners, Sarah in 1990 and Rob in 1989. Paxten came close too, winning a huge DCA Puppy Class at his first dog show, handled by Katherine Ann. He finished at the Chicago Specialty that followed DCA in 1995, owner-handled. Two littermates also finished their titles.

He was a gentle mild-mannered dog like his dad and loved everyone. Paxten was killed by a car in 1999, but his legacy lives on in his fine offspring.
