Torch was a gorgeously spotted liver boy who we sold as a youngster to the Brazilian Dal Fancier Alberto Salim Saber Filho (of the Ebony Spots). He stayed in the U.S. to complete his championship, and did well during his short Special's career. Torchie's American record included Best of Breed over large Dal entries at the two shows following DCA in 1978, including a Group placing at Santa Barbara. He was Best of Breed at the New York Specialty a few weeks later, and then left for Brazil. Torch was the Top Winning Dog of all Breed in Brazil in 1980 and 1981, handled by his owner Mr. Saber.

Torchie lived a long happy life in Brazil, and sired many champions. He slept on a couch in his owner's room with the green rubber frog toy that had accompanied him to Brazil. His owner took him to the ocean for a vacation each December, so that he could run on the beach just as he had when he went to DCA in California. Torchie's Brazilian-bred son "Vicor" came to the U.S. & stayed with us for a year. Both Torch and Vicor were Top Producers in the U.S.
