A Review Of...Me!

I am a 24 year old girl who's into (as you can probably tell) animals (especially horses!) and cute guys in red suits! (If you're not quite sure what that means, check out my other site) I live in Canada. I really love horse-back riding (when time and money permit) and playing the flute (I've reached level 4). Music-wise, I'm pretty lenient, but I'm a dedicated fan of Daniel Bélanger.

I had a cat named Jiggs (picture= 20 KB) who was humanely euthanized (due to health problems) on the day before my 18th birthday. He was 18. My family is now the very proud family to Dixie, a 5 year old female Beagle-Border Collie cross that we adopted from the local S.P.C.A. With energy to spare, she is very sweet, and learns fast, when she's properly motivated (i.e: clicker training!!). Dixie now has a young companion to keep her company during the day: Kermitte, a 3 year old grey and white female tabby cat (there's nothing more soothing than a cat curled up in your lap and purring!!). The two get along great, chasing each other around the house and play-fighting.

NEWEST: The newest addition to our four-footed family is Elmo, a now 1 year old domestic long-haired cat (male). His friendliness has made the introductions go quite smoothly and quickly, and there's a beautiful friendship between Kermitte and Elmo (Dixie is still not so sure). He arrived in our family on 26/10/02, and merely 3 days later, the cats are playing together!

My dad and step-mother have a 7 month old Ragdoll kitten who they've named Félini. He is drop-dead adorable! Felini is now about 1 year old

The second addition to my extended family is Zero, a now 1 year old French Spaniel puppy. His exhuberance is amazing, just about as amazing as Félini's tolerance of being grabbed by the tail and "swept" across the floor! and here are some pictures of the (rare) quiet moments.

I enjoy photography, horse-back riding, and watching T.V. My new favourite T.V. show (to replace the defunct Due South) is "Third Watch".

I've found a hidden talent, and a passion, for dog grooming. I've taken a grooming course with a grooming school in Verdun, Quebec, and a two week advanced grooming course with Pets Beautiful in Ottawa, Ontario. HIGHLY recommended!! I'm now a professional groomer. I've worked for a salon, a pet store, a grooming school, and a canine academy. I was a volunteer groomer at the Montreal SPCA for a little over a year, but I sadly had to quit when I went back to school. I now work full-time as a groomer with a vet clinic, and I'm LOVING every single second of it!!

I'd love to hear from you! Feel free to e-mail me at adrienne.l@videotron.ca
