The "B" Litter

I always think of the Super Bowl when I think of this litter.

That's because they were bred during half-time of the 1991 Super Bowl - and I'm deeply endebted to stud dog owner Bill Mader who, I know, would have rather watched the game without interruption.

Seven puppies - three males and four females - were born March 28, 1991. The puppies that resulted from the breeding were amazing in their versatility: three sisters, in particular, excelled in conformation, obedience and field.

Sire: Am Ch. Hillbrook's Buddy McG - "Buddy"
Dam: Can Ch. Butterblac's Autograph CD, WC - "Holly"

(Given the parent's names, you will understand that the "BH" in the puppies registered names stands for "Buddy Holly" and that his songs are contained in their names as a tribute to this rock 'n' roll legend.)

The puppies in the litter were:

Males:

Autograph BH Oh Boy - "Taboo" (1991 - 2000)
Autograph BH Reminiscing - "Jet" (1991 - 2001)
Autograph BH Rip It Up Brangin

Females:

Can/Am Ch. Autograph BH Rave On Affinity Can CDX, WCI, JH Am. CD, WCX - "Sierra"
Can Ch. Autograph B You're the One Can/Am JH, Can CDX, WCI, Am CD, WCX - "Nikki"
Can Ch. Autograph BH Trecorn Moondream CDX, WC, Am CD - "Fiona"
(1991 - 1999)
Autograph BH Bo Diddley - "Cinder" (1991 - 2001)

Special Information:

This was a very special litter for the owners, as well. Four were previous Flat-Coat owners, the other three have since added another Flat-Coat to their life. An amazing coincidence, three families who got puppies from this litter also got puppies from my "G" litter born in 2001!

Taboo and Jet both helped raised children - and did a fine job of it, from what the parents say. Jet, as well, was an excellent hunting dog.

Sierra, Nikki and Fiona - and their owners - deserve special notice. Besides being pretty darn good looking dogs, they are multi-talented - like every Flat-Coat should be. I am very grateful to their owners - Sophia, Wendy and Jennifer - for all the hard work they have done over the years. As well, Sierra went on to be the foundation bitch for Sophia's "Affinity" kennels.
