Someone ask me if I would tell them where I caught all these big fish. I said "sure, I don't mind". "I caught all of them in the mouth. |

These three cats weighed 75 lbs. I had just baited three rods and cast them in different directions when all three went down. I had not been there 5 minutes. I was fishing by myself, so I set the hooks, one at a time, and released the bail. It took me about 15 minutes to get the first one in the boat. Then I went to the next and so forth. Afterwards I had to take a good long rest. I only caught one more small fish that day. |

This is an old picture taken about 25 years ago. This is the most fish that I have caught that I have a picture to prove. Written on the back is "234 crappie weighing 189 lbs." Things have certainly changed since then. This was the prevailing attitude in the times of plenty (of fish). Now attitudes are to observe all limit laws for they are designed to provide the best fishing for everyone. THIS IS TRUE. |

This is a black catfish that is very unusual. I don't remember it's exact weight, but I think it was about 40 lbs. It is I in the picture, but this fish was caught by J.T. Blanks of Gadsden, AL. This fish was as black as black can be except for his belly and had a pecululary round head almost looking like a salamanders head. No one has ever seen one like this that we can find. |

I thought this was a record White Cat at 24 lbs. but, I believe that it is a Blue that is white in coloration, even though he had some hump. Do they cross? |
