Wisconsin Cocker Rescue is in critical need of foster homes at this time. Possibly due to the downturn in economics, we are almost daily hearing of dogs needing to be surrendered. Many of these are very adoptable young dogs. Others needs some help with their manners before finding their forever home. All of them need a loving, understanding place to be for a while until permanent homes are found. It truly does involve a sincere commitment by the foster family as you are responsible for the dog while it is in your care.
We make every attempt to match the dog to the right foster home so the experience is positive for both the dog and the foster family. For example, a dog needing a quiet environment would not be placed in a home with a high activity level. Most families find fostering to be a very rewarding experience.
Wisconsin Cocker Rescue is always willing to answer questions and provide support for those willing to foster. We will answer phone calls or emails promptly.
If you could foster please fill out an application on line or contact us to send one to you. If you would like more information on fostering please email us or call

Some of the dogs that we need foster homes are :
Toby - a young tri boy.
Lizzy- a buff female who is an escape artist and needs a high fenced in yard
Onyx- a black male, needs to be an only male dog in the house, would be fine with other females.
Hazel- sable and white girl that one time was someones pet before she was given away to a commercial breeder.
Legend - a beautiful sold sable girl that came from the same breeder as Hazel.
Maybe you know of someone that has been thinking about getting a dog but not sure about making the permanent commitment, then perhaps fostering might be for them.
If they flunk Fostering 101 that's okay too as many times the foster home ends up adopting the dogs !
