VOL IV
Pub: 1915
"...Jacob Wyckoff, b. 1686; d. 1732; m., Apr 16 1706, Lammetje
Stryker. He lived on part of the 1,200-acre tract in Somerset County,
and was very prosperous in his farming, but was not prominent in pub-
lic affairs.
Children:
1) Cornelius bp.25 Apr 1705 (per Baptism Records of the Reformed
Dutch Church of New Amsterdam) d.1737
2) Jacob; b. Sep 23 1712 d. Aug 28 1738 m. Frances (Van Vliet?)
3) Garret; d. 1737 (apparently unm.)
4) Styntje; m. Abraham Hyert
5) Geertje. (No further trace)..."
From the same volume:
..."Jacob, who married Lemeche Stryker, was his (John Wyckoff's)
son. Jacob by his will appointed Lemetie his executrix, and in case
of her death, his son Cornelius and John Stryker to be the executors.
Jacob's widow, Lemeche, married Minna Van Voorhees, of New Brunswick,
great-grandfather of the writer, and lived there until his death, which
occurred about 1735.
After the death of Minna, Lemetie returned to and resided on the farm,
and was living in 1745. Jacob Wyckoff had three sons, Cornelius, Jacob
and Garret, and two daughters, Guertie and Styntie, the wife of Wil-
liam Ryer. Jacob was, doubtless, the one who lived on the place in
1766, as described on the map of that date, whose daughter Antie mar-
ried a Lupardus, who succeeded his father-in-law on the place, and
whose widow married David Fleet. Frances married Aaron Hagaman..."

"...FIRST MEMBERS OF SIX-MILE RUN CHURCH
ON NOV. 15, 1710, Rev. Paulus Van Vlecq, a Hollander, who had been a
schoolmaster at Kinderhook, N. Y., organized the Six-Mile Run church
at (present) Franklin Park, N. J. According to a "Journal" kept by
him the members admitted on April 17, 1711, were these:
Willemse, Eytye, wife of Pieter Kinne.
Wymants, Antye, wife of Gysbert De Hart.
Hooglandt, Marritye, wife of Lammert Van Dyk.
Strycker, Lammetye, wife of Jacob Wyckhof.
He then states under an entry of the following
October:
"1711, the 23 October. At 6 Myl Run a church council was elected in
the place of the outgoing elders, Adrien Bennet, Baerent De Wit; and
left Carl Fonteyn ruling elder, and in the place of the outgoing
deacon, Baerent De Wit, Gysbert De Hart is elected, leaving Abraham
Bennet the ruling deacon, and they were established on the 24 Oct.
1711.
"The members at 6 Myl Run:
Bennet, Adrien
Fonteyn, Charles
De Wit, Baerent
Bennet, Abraham
Van Dyck, Lammert
Kinne, Pieter
Van Dyck, Isaac and his wife Barbara Reyniersen
Van Hooren, Jannetje, wife of Adrian Laeru
Kinnen, Adriaen Pietersen
Wyckhof, Jacob
De Hart, Gysbert
Van Dyck, Angenetye, wife of Adriaen Bennet
Van Festen, Sara, wife of Baerent De Wit
Reynierse, Helenae, wife of Charles Fonteyn
Larue, Cattelyntie, wife of Elias De Hart
Folkers, Jannetye, wife of Abraham Bennet
Vanderlinden, Jeytye, wife of Jan Vliedt
Bennet, Angenetye, wife of Johannis Folckers
As it is noticed that no names on the two lists are duplicated,
we infer that the list given Oct. 24, 1711, reverts back to the ori-
ginal list (in Nov., 1710) and supplements it, although the matter
is not clear..."
