to Oklahoma, Tornado Alley & the F6 Tornado

I was born into and in my early years was reared by sporting dogs,
played with racing sleddogs after we moved to Alaska, and eventually
graduated to raising, training, and exhibiting Silky Terriers in 1982.
Today even though I am no longer showing or breeding, we do love
visiting and cheering on our many friends at the shows.
I have posted pictures of some of my beloved children but have
been unable to see through the tears to write their stories.

Sierra & family Pedigree

Sierra is the last of the Serikon Silky Terriers.
Growing up she loved and shined in the show ring and even
as a Veteran can make them stand up and take notice.
Today she has gracefully assumed leadership of the canine pack
and has been an invaluable asset in the rearing of the irrepressible
young Yorkie, Lacey HST (Honorary Silky Terror).

Sadly Sierra went to Rainbow Bridge shortly after Thanksgiving, 2006

Lacey Pedigree

Lacey HST (Honorary Silky Terror) is Serikon's first Yorkie.
She is a blue blooded Yorkshire Terrier with a blue blooded
Silky Terrier Mom. Don't ask me to explain it. They
had a meeting, and I have found it easier not to argue with
terriers when they have made up their minds.

Lacey came into our lives after the tragic and
devastating loss of Sierra's sister Elizabeth & father
Sundance in March, 1999.
As the baby Princess, Silver Spoon Yorkie, and
master manipulator, she clearly demonstrates one need
not be the top dog to have the world at one's feet.

SERIKON HAIL STORM WARNING, Yorkshire Terrier

"Hailey"

Born June, 2004

Hailey doesn't speak of her former life. She has chosen new
names and entered into the Yorkie Protection and Relocation program.
She is now Forever ours and only looks to a bright new future
where she and Lacey have become sisters of the heart.
Sometimes you just know things were meant to be and we
are so very grateful that her destiny was to be with us.

Smitten has the ability to look totally innocent and inoffensive,
but underneath that sweet exterior beats the true heart of a terrier.
Smitten is a master at spinning her web and wrapping grown
men around her dainty little paw.
