NONSUCH LHASA APSOS
The LHASA APSO breed is over 2000 years old originating in Tibetan monasteries.  The breed was hidden away for centuries, protected by the Himalayas with their inhospitable terrain. The dogs known as lucky talismans, were never sold but occasionally given as gifts by the monks to honoured visitors. Political dignitaries, favoured traders, British Medical Corps officers as well as British and American explorers were some of the recipients.

In 1934, LHASA APSOS were recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club.
