Snowball was a 17 month old male who came to us from what could have become a bad situation. He was owned by a family who decided he was not the dog for them. They placed him with a friend who wanted him, only to have him handed back the day before Thanksgiving as unwanted. Because they had thought him well-homed, they had no provision for him at the busiest time of the year, and he was boarded at the vet until I picked him up in early December.
In looking for just the right home, we kept Snowball with us and our dogs for a few days. He was energetic, spunky and not at all fearful. His biggest problem was that he craved attention - what Bichon doesn't? So we found him a great home, with a loving family of five, who understand Bichons - and in fact were the only branch of their family tree not to have one!
Christmas found him with his new family, and they (and Snowball - who is now going under a different name) have our best wishes for a happy and prosperous next 1000 years!
