Hi, my name is Merlot -- and as you can guess from my pictures, I am such a love!
I'm a 7 year old,
dark seal colored Italian Greyhound. I had lived in a happy home with my brother Midori
and another IG, but our owner had to work very long hours, and we were left alone most of
the day. We IGs don't like to be alone without our humans for that long, so our owner made
the VERY difficult decision to turn us in to IG Rescue to help us find a wonderful forever
home. Since then, Midori and I have been in a foster home with some other IGs, a couple of
big Greyhounds, and this furry thing they tell me is a type of dog called a Chow Chow (I
wasn't sure WHAT he was at first, but he's very sweet).
My foster mom calls me "Clown Face," because my face went gray early so it looks like I'm wearing face paint, and because I can be a silly boy sometimes. But there's nothing silly about my very favorite thing -- snuggling with my person! My very favorite times are the evenings I spend in the recliner with my foster dad and my brother, and I would love nothing better than to have a new forever home where I could snuggle with my very own person again.
Oh, one more thing that's kind of important -- I have never been an only dog, so I would be thrilled to have another dog in my forever home.
