DO YOU LOVE ANIMALS?

If so, please join my animal rights letter-writing campaign, Animal Friends Coalition (AFC). You can make a difference!

WHO: You – because you love animals and recognize our obligation to speak out on their behalf since they cannot. Feel free to involve your friends and family – everyone’s support helps!

WHAT: The concept is simple -- when action is needed, I will put together a packet of information on a current animal rights or animal law issue and mail or e-mail it to you. It will include a brief explanation of the issue, where to go for more information, and a sample letter to be sent to political and/or business and/or community leaders. You can send a letter or e-mail of your own choosing, or simply sign the letter I give you, and send it to the appropriate people. All you have to do is sign your name!

WHY: Because our elected officials and community and business representatives need to know that their constituents care about animals and how society treats them. Because it’s the right thing to do, and this is an easy way to do it.

WHAT ELSE: If you do not agree with an issue that is presented or do not feel comfortable sending correspondence about it, please do not feel any obligation to do so. I simply want to facilitate letter-writing for those who wish to provide input on matters they feel strongly about – I am not trying to change your opinions. Also, I do not support radical animal liberationists or any illegal, violent or extreme activities. I find many of these fanatical acts to be counterproductive. My belief is that animals, as helpless members of this society, deserve and need our respect and protection, and I believe that our policies, procedures and laws need to reflect this reality. I hope you agree.
