There is a great deal of responsibility that goes into making sure our furry dependents are happy, healthy, well adjusted, safe and secure. Are you lacking in any of these areas?
Thinking about the responsibilities of having pets before you bring them into your home
Making a lifetime commitment to your pets, even when your lifestyle changes.
Providing your pets with nutritious food and making sure their water is always fresh.
Having both shelter and privacy available to your pets, including a warm (or cool), quiet, dry place to sleep and retreat to when desired.
Placing collars and identification tags on your pets that include a clearly written name and phone number.
Training your pets using positive reinforcement and attending dog training.
Making sure your pets receive proper health care.
HAVING YOUR PETS SPAYED AND NEUTERED.
Attending to the grooming needs of your pets.
Spending time with your pets every day, including exercise and play.
Abiding by local pet laws such as licensing and leash laws, and ensuring your pets are under your supervision, especially around children and new people.
Making sure that your pets are true members of the family by supplying lots of love and attention.
When we think of animals, we think pure, innocent, unadulterated LOVE. That's what they give unconditionally, all the time, no matter what. Don't they deserve to get that back from us?
