HRC's were developed by hunters by hunters. Tests are designed to simulate acual hunting scenarios while still testing for the desired qualities of a hunting retriever for their particular level. The levels are started, seasoned and finished. Each level contains a water and land test. Finished dogs earn their HRCH and are invited to attend the Grand. To earn this title a HRCH must pass two Grands and have 200 points. The HRC also offers a seperate title for dogs passing upland tests to earn a seperate title of UH for Upland Hunter. (see www.ukc.org) Brick has a littermate, Ben, who has earned his Grand title!!! At the seasoned and finished level the handler the gun in a safe manner as part of the test. Duck calls and camoflage are required. HRC's are for the entire family that is owned by the lab that hunts too. Afterall that IS what a lab is meant to do!!!!!
