A long update from me....
Hey everyone! Sorry i've been mostly MIA.... i've been checking and reading daily, but wasn't much in the mood for typing myself, still am not, but i wanted to just "talk" some.
I have been sleeping so badly... i can't sleep at all, or fall asleep for that matter and Kyle is kicking me so much and so hard that frankly, i'm tired of it because it really really hurts now. I'm 34 weeks, so technically i have 6 more to go; we'll see how many i actually last, will he be early or late?! lol So since i can't seem to sleep, i've been painting my village houses. I painted two more.... and painting the last one now. So that makes 5 all together this year. Man, i did too much i think! when i'll be done, i'll take a pic of the whole village we have so far.
After this, i'll be making my sleigh table centerpiece, i just forgot to buy the foam for the inside, so i have to still get that. Then just paint mrs. Clause and i'll be done with my holiday decorating for this year.
Aside from that, we had a drop down ceiling in our kitchen that has those plastic squares. Well, we decided to remove that and just buy the cover for the light and paint that whole area.... boy, so far, i haven't done much to it because i have to clean it and prepare it for painting, and it's hard with the kids with all the stuff flying around, but i'll get that done next week. And it sure makes the kitchen so much brighter now. I"m also thinking of painting the cabinets white so they look better and brighter as well (they are an ugly gray now). But i talked with MIL and i'll save that for last, if i have energy to do that. We are also removing the wallpaper from the bathrooms and painting them white for now. Frank is suppossed to do that, but i doubt he will, so i bet i'll be the one doing it as well... So again, i'm going to have to suit up, mask, gloves and all, to protect myself from the wallpaper remover solution. Oh well.... I am and always have been the handy one in the house. Oh, we did finally get our AC fixed... and i knew i wasn't going crazy and something was wrong. It ended up being that the thermostat wasn't reading the temps right and would in turn not turn on when it should. So now that is fixed, i was also finally able to find a proper sized filter (never seen one like this, it's 17 1/2 x 23 1/2 strange size). We will also be haning up curtains on ALL windows, as right now i just have blinds..... i know we were lazy! We ordered slip covers for the couch and chair (kids stained the couch too much, so i wanted slipcovers i can wash).
Also, next week, i'll be buying the mattress, dresser and bassinet for the baby. And my MIL yet again surprised me today and ordered Robert a matching dresser for his room (to match his bed). I wonder how she found a matching one because she got the bed for him from Rooms to Go, and we went to so many different ones looking for the set to get a dresser and couldn't find it, and online they didnt' have it anymore. So she says she found one that will match. That's coming in the mail in 10-14 days. On top of all of this, MIL just sent out 3 boxes full of things for the kids, some extra curtains (we got ours in ny and can't find the same ones to match all the windows so she had to buy them in ny), and presents for the kids for Christmas. She also already went to toys r us and got the presents that are from Santa, so i'm just waiting now on Toys R Us to call me and let me know when i can pick them up. I wonder where i'll hide those, cause she got some very big things. I lover her though, she always goes overboard for our kids... makes it easier on us... but that's just how she is. That's why we're not going overboard with presents for them because between her and BIL, they will have so many presents! I still have to buy Robert and Frank their presents, and that i'll do in about a week or so and then i'll be done with Christmas shopping. I"m starting to work on my MIL's present, i'm making her a scrapbook of the kids and the family. I think she'll love that, and it's original adn something she cant' give back to us! lol (whenever we buy her presents, she manages to somehow give them back to us, or if it's a gift card, she'll buy things for us instead). So i think this is the best present for her that she can always have and cherish.
So, in general, i do have a lot of work still ahead of me, and basically that's why i haven't really been around. Not to mention that my back is killing me extremely bad so i can't sit too long on here. On a positive note for me, the weather this weekend and early next week is goign to be soooo great! only mid 70s for the highs and in the mid to low 50's at night! oh i'll definately h ave my windows open! lol i'm so excited for this "cold front"! It's finally starting to feel like fall!
Anyway, i'm sorry i made this so long. Just wanted to send in an update.
