I know this really isn't a big deal in general, but it really is a big deal to me. All week, and even since last weekend, I have been putting underwear on Amber and she's been going potty all by herself and not having any accidents! (she's had i believe only 2 accidents with frank while i' m at school). And although she's still not pooping in the potty, she did yesterday all by herself and that in itself is a big accomplishment, i think! So i hope it will help her realize that that's where poop goes! And.. to add to her not having accidents, every time we go out somewhere, and of course at nights, she has a diaper on. Well, all week when we come home and i remove the diaper or in the morning i remove it as soon as she gets up, the diaper has been completely completely dry! Even after a full night's sleep! And same thing with naps, wakes up completely dry and she's napping in underwear! Wooo hooo Amber! I"ve used 2 diapers really all week! Now, i just have to be more daring myself and not so scared to let her wear underwear when we go out. I think that's a hurdle i have to pass myself first. lol I"m also still trying to make an appt for her to get speech evaluation. The first place didn't take the insurance i have, and now i'm waiting on the call back from the next place. She really tries to say things, but they are really not coming out the way they should.
Kyle.... he rolled over for the first time yesterday from his belly to his back! He hasn't done it again, but i'm sure now that he will soon enough get the full hang of it and be completely rolling in every direction! His bottom gums are also sooooo hard that you can actually feel the shape of the teeth! They will probably start breaking through may be in another 2 weeks or so (seems my boys get teeth early on). He's more enjoying the exercauser and is finally starting to try and play with the toys on it. Also, he's finally more enjoying his floor time, which is a huge relief that i dont have to hold him all day! Started to give him cereal once a day; he doesn't seem to like it at all, but then again, the flavor of the rice cereal is not that wonderful anyway! (i tried it... yuck... tastes like eating soggy paper!) I"m going to try and mix it with a little apple juice to see if that helps. If not, i'll just take my time with it and follow his cues.
Robert, he has been almost an angel since i started doing points and charting his good behavior and deeds! He's saving up for a video game, which is 90 points, and he gets about 20-25pts a week. So i figure he's got two more weeks and he'll get his chosen reward! I should have done this sooner for him as it really is working wonders with him. Amber still has no clue about the points, but i give them to her anyway to make it fair for both of them.
