Amber and Kyle's update
So i forgot to post about their appointments.
Kyle had his 6 month checkup. He got 3 shots, which he cried horribly but calmed down as soon as i was able to pick him up. The MA was asking me if i wanted to administer the shots.... (since i'll be doing that anyway when i'm done with school) and i told him hell no! Not on my own kids! lol.... He only grew half an inch to make it 24.5 inches and he gained 3lbs, making h im 15lbs even. We got a referral to another doctor to get his tear duct unclogged because it still hasn't and we dont' want to wait any longer because it may end up needing surgery if we do.
Amber had her second speech evaluation. She did pretty good and even surprised me on a lot of things. But because she wasn't too comfortable with these people, she didn't want to do some other things, which i told them she could do but just didn't want to at this point. So anyway, they determined that she would benefit from speech therapy 2 times a week if not more, and that it's up to our pediatrician to approve her for that. So when i talked to him, he didn't understand what they were talking about, because he already approved it by sending her to them. So the ped's office will call me as soon as they figure out what the hell they are talking about! They did also say that she would probably do better if she has more interaction and told me that "I" need to stop baby talking to her. I said, we don't baby talk to her. Just because here and there we say "baba" for bottle, although she also understands the word bottle, doesn't mean we always talk baby to her and that that is the reason why she doesn't speak or understand some things. They actually got me really upset because even Robert knows not to baby talk to her so that she will pick up actual words. And yet they tell me its my fault. They can kiss my a** for all i care with their "observation".
Anyway, so that's what's going on with the kids. Robert's excited to start school soon, as am I!
