Entry for December 29, 2007
I have to say, I am very glad that Christmas is over! The kids got so many presents between us, all the grandparents (2 sets) plus the great grandparents, and all the aunts and such! They seriously did get way way too many things, and some clothes, but they are absolutely happy with everything they got and that is what counts.

As for me, Frank got me some bathroom hand lotions and scrubs, some fruit spray colognes, as i just love those, and my little black Tinkerbell bag! LOL i just saw that thing at walmart and i fell in love with it! So i was very happy to get that. I got him two cook books, which i know for a man you don't think that's good, but well, my husband went to culinary school. Although it's not something he does much of any more, but he still loves to cook and giving him great ideas is always a plus when i want an extra different dinner from what we normally make. Or it's also great for entertaining. So he was happy with them and we agreed on him getting this picture taken of the kids at Enchanted Forest (our South Florida holiday light show and fair). I have to remember to scan the picture; it's the three of my kids together on a Empire State building lit in NY Mets colors, and it has written, future Mets! It cost almost $40, so he said that he'd be just happy with that. I know that's really not a lot of money, but we are tight with money and well, most went on the kids and family so we didn't care much if we got anything anyway.

Christmas Eve, we went to Frank's grandparents. The kids had fun although they have no toys or anything. They watched movies and played with the other kids. They had a good time and the food was great (Frank's grandfather also cooks), so it was a wonderful evening. Then Christmas we went to his family's again, his mother's youngest sisters home. As always made me a nervous wreck with the kids because they have a pool and they took down the fence since all t heir kids know how to swim now, and well, mine don't. So i was nervous watching them all constantly, but they all had a good time, food was also pretty good. Seriously, going to their house is like never stopping eating. We started with small appetizers at 3:30pm and kept on eating until dessert ended at around 8:30pm. Talk about being full! lol But it was fun. We got walmart and payless gift cards for me and frank, so we went ahead and got the kids some things and Robert got the new Transformers sneakers that he fell in love with! So needless to say, the kids got more things. But at least they are things that we needed. I got another umbrella stroller (we have a double side by side) so this one was a good addition for the baby, a new booster seat for Amber, a jacket for her for NY, so things we really needed rather than more gifts or toys.

For me, i couldn't wait this year and it's really all officially over. Yes, i took down all my Christmas decorations and lights and tree and absolutely everything tonight! It honestly feels so good to not have to look at it all. I love it in November when it makes me feel all jolly and happy that the season is here and all the fun it brings as well. But as the season quickly passes, all the stress associated with it just gets to me, and more so all the people's nastiness and rudeness when being out that i just don't want to go out. Then throwing out all the garbage from all the toys and new things and then finding spots for them, or getting rid of some older things to make room for the new ones (which I will be doing that tomorrow lol). It's all just so exhausting that I'm glad that i have it all over. Now I'm going to slowly start going through things to start getting ready for our move back to NY.

So yes, it's all officially over in my house! lol
