Ragdoll
These cats were first developed
in the USA in the 1960's. The breeder was trying to cultivate a cat with
a calm and gentle temperament cat. The breeder succeed, and the Ragdoll
breed appeared. They are known for their unique characteristic of relaxing
when they are touched. However, this characteristic is probably a genetic
mutation.

Seal Point, Chocolate Point, Blue
Point, Lilac Point
Coat Length
Medium. Longer around the neck,
short over the shoulders, medium on back, medium on sides, medium on abdomen
and hindquarters, and short to medium on front legs.
Type of Fur
Very dense and silky.
Size
Very large; males can weigh up
to 9.1kg/20lb.
Further Information
They have large round paws and
a long bushy tail. They have oval blue eyes with a tapered head and full
checks. They have a strong body with stocky legs, short neck, and
deep chest. Their ears are medium in size, have tufts and rounded tips,
and tilt slightly forward. They are extremely gentle and make the ideal
pet.
