Some facts about research: Lab animals include cats, dogs , rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice , rats and nonhuman primates such as chimpanzees. In the agricultural field they include horses, cattle, sheep, goats and swine. Product testing mainly include mice, rats and rabbits. The guestamates are 90% rodents, 1-2% cats and dogs (200,000), medical and vet school 50.000-60,000, and product testing is several mill to 10 mill. These numbers are just for one yr of testing. There are companys out there however that do not test their products on animals, technology has made it posseble to test these products in different ways. Here are a few more popular companys that DONT test on animals: Bath & Body works, Amway, Greentree, Avon,  Mary Kay, Maybelline,  Estee Lauder, redken, L'Oreal, Conair, Clinique, Nexxus, Wella, Norelco, Lix Claiborne,  these are only a few, you can obtain a full list through PETA....  With your help and the help from others we can make a difference by banning products that use animals for testing and writing into them asking them to change and let them know we will not use their products until they do so. As far as the medical field goes there are medications out there that do not use animals as part of the product and you can request them through your doctor or pharmacist.
