Marianne
My name is Marianne and I have, currently seven "babies" . . . Roberta was abandoned at the Anti-Cruelty Society Clinic, with a severe burn to half her abdomen and down one back leg; possibly a chemical burn and most probably intentionally inflicted. She was only four months at the time and her owner didn't feel she was "worth repairing"; he'd just "get another NORMAL cat." We saved her . . . literally, from the needle of death. She's our only Calico.
Suzy Wong is a pure-bred sealpoint Siamese. We nicknamed her "Rambette" (female for "Rambo"), because that's what she is!! Full of curiosity, agility, fearlessness and down right stubbornness at times.
An electrician at my firm needed to find homes for several kittens. How could I resist? Sampson was very ill with worms and ear mites and spent two weeks at the vet's because we couldn't introduce him into our family with a contagious condition. He is a precious gray and white "moose." He now weighs over 20 lbs.
Sigourney, came to us via a friend who was visiting her vet one day and saw this lovely tortie in a cage. The vet said her owner was moving and couldn't take her so he wanted to have her put to sleep. Sigourney has lovely, huge, green eyes, very much like our Shakespeare who passed away from cancer. She was declawed in front; had all her shots; had been spayed; and was Feluek negative. How could we let her die? She is a great playmate for Sampson.
Jeffrey is an all black (with black whiskers, too!) little lover. He curls up around my neck at night like a fur boa and purrs me to sleep. I first took him because he reminded me of our Euripides, who passed away from old age. Ripsy was a "panther," sleek and black. And Jeffrey has grown into a handsome panther, too.
Courtney came from a cat shelter which was closing. She's a soft furball who hugs me with her two front paws whenever I hold her close to my face. She's partly brown tabby, with a white tummy, white socks on three paws and a back leg and thigh that's white and orange. Her eyes are lovely and expressive, just like one of my fur people, Broderick, who passed away. And she follows my husband and I around constantly. She is certain that she is "people," not a cat at all!
And finally, Benjamin, our newest, a lovely orange short-haired.
Tally
I have 9 indoor cats: Boots, Ezekial(Zeke), Donovan, Tally, Gizmo, Kenya, Sammy, Buster & Scamp
Boots and Sammy both have a condition known as Stomatitis which is caused by an underlying immune deficiency problem and a chronic viral infection. We are treating our special needs boys with Interferon.
